My Story & Philosophy

What I Believe About Counselling

I've always believed that meaningful change doesn't come from being told what to do — it comes from feeling genuinely safe, heard and understood. When that safety exists, people can begin to explore what's really going on beneath the surface.

My work is grounded in compassion first. Before techniques, before strategies, before anything else — I want the people I work with to feel that they are not too much, not broken, not beyond help. Because in my experience, they never are.

How I Work

My approach brings together counselling, nervous system education, grounding practices and practical emotional regulation techniques. It's holistic in the truest sense — I'm interested in the whole of you, not just the presenting problem.

Sessions are practical without being clinical, warm without being woolly. I want you to leave each session with something you can actually use — a tool, an insight, a slightly different way of seeing something that was feeling stuck.

Who I Work With

I support adults experiencing:

  • Anxiety and persistent worry
  • Emotional overwhelm and stress
  • Low mood and emotional fatigue
  • Perimenopause and menopause-related anxiety
  • Relationship difficulties and communication challenges
  • Life transitions and loss of identity
  • Low confidence and self-worth

I also work with couples who want to communicate better, understand each other more deeply and build healthier ways of being together.

A Bit More About Me

I have a background in both counselling and education, which shapes the way I explain things in sessions. I find psychoeducation — understanding why we feel and respond the way we do — is one of the most empowering things I can offer someone.

I'm also co-founder of Healing Dialogue, a collaborative wellbeing platform bringing together holistic practitioners for workshops and group support.

When I'm not working, I'm usually thinking about the same things I talk about in sessions: connection, language, how we treat ourselves, and what it actually means to feel okay.
